Lacrosse Information / Monday

Hi Everyone,
I've included every email address that you all input at
registration - please let me know if there are any corrections
or more addresses you would like added to the list. If your
email address changes, please let me know but also go to
the lacrosse site and change it so that you will continue
to receive emails from the club.
Practice on No School Days: There WILL
be practice on Tuesday (tomorrow) from 3:30 - 5:30. Assume
there is practice unless you hear from us because lacrosse
is a bit like the mail service - rain, snow, sleet or hail.....
Practice: Please make sure your player
has a cup and a mouthguard at practice. If your son is one
of the kids who doesn't like to wear a cup, you should let
him know that Shannon has been known to do cup checks. Kids
without mouthguards and cups can't play (which is better
than playing and becoming an instant soprano). They get
thirsty out there so make sure they have a water bottle
with their name clearly marked on it. NO BASEBALL CLEATS
(with the toe clip) will be allowed at lacrosse. Also, NO
LONG POLES at practice until notified. The coaches will
be making the decision and inviting the players that get
to use long poles. If your child has a penny from one of
the camps or another sport, please have them bring it to
practice. Please pick up your child promptly at 5:30.
**If your 5/6 player is going to miss practice, email Coach
Shannon in advance at pshannon.evans@gmail.com and copy
me on the email chris@bigwaverecruiting.com .**
Concussion
Form: The attached form must be signed and
turned in. Some parents completed the form as a part of
registration but the Club has been notified that the actual
signed form is required. Please bring to practice and give
to Shannon or myself. All forms must be turned in by the
time we hand out uniforms.
Uniforms: We will be handing out uniforms
at a future date TBD. This requires a $50 deposit. You will
need to provide shorts for your child. These can be any
royal or navy blue shorts (without pockets).
Game Day: When the game schedule comes
out, I will be looking for parents to volunteer for things
like bringing oranges, keeping score, setup/takedown, and
other ways to get involved.
Spaghetti Dinner: Please try and attend
the spaghetti dinner this Saturday. It is a great kick-off
event for the players and their families (siblings are invited
of course). The high school players will be there to interact
with the boys and there will be some professional players
from the Stealth team attending. It is a ton of fun for
the parents and there are some great auction items this
year in all price ranges. If you are going, please register
online ASAP so we can get a handle on the number we should
expect. You register at www.bainbridgelax.com and click
on the registration
link. This is a casual fun event and a fundraiser for the
club. (Not to mention a good excuse to not cook dinner on
a Saturday night!)
Concerns: From time to time, issues or
questions come up. Please direct any questions to me unless
they are specific to players in which case you should contact
the coach directly. I am at school on Thursday's picking
up Forrest (and eventually on Tuesdays) or you can contact
me by phone or email (below).
I think this is everything for now! Please let me know if
I've left anything out or you have any questions. I'm looking
forward to seeing you all on the field and at the dinner!
