Positive Coaching Alliance Workshops at Seattle Pacific, Jan
26-27
One of BYLW's
newest organizations, Magnolia United Lacrosse Club, applied
for and received a grant from US Lacrosse that covers 70% of
the cost for workshops offered by the Positive Coaching Alliance
(PCA). Ted Gray suggested opening up these workshops to all
members of BYLW, and we're pleased to do so, at no cost to participants,
during the weekend of Jan 26-27.
The
weekend will consist of 3 seminars/workshops:
- Leadership
Seminar:
Saturday, Jan 26, 9:30a-11:30a. This is designed for program
directors and board members, and focuses on building a positive
culture across your organization. This one is for everyone
receiving this email directly, and I hope you'll do your best
to attend, and encourage your organization's board members
to do the same.
-
Double-Goal Coach Workshop: Saturday, Jan 26, 1:30p-3:30p.
This workshop helps coaches get the most out of their players
through 3 core principles: Honor the Game, Fill Emotional
Tanks, and Redefine "Winner." You are strongly encouraged
to forward this email to your organization's coaches.
-
Second-Goal Parent Workshop: Sunday, Jan 27, 10:30a-12:30p.
This workshop helps parents ensure that their athlete's experiences
yield healthy, developmental outcomes that will serve them
far beyond the playing field.
Schedule
information is posted at www.bylw.org,
and I've also attached some information from PCA.
