School Players-Forms Reminder
If
you have not already done so, please make sure all of your paperwork
is turned into the HS athletic admin, Mary Sue Silver by Wednesday,
February 20. The following 4 forms are required and must be
turned into the office before you can start practice on Monday,
February 25. All forms are available at the HS office if you
are in need of any.
1) Yellow Medical card—you will receive the lower
half back to turn into the coaches, after Mary Sue has checked
that you have a valid physical on file at the school.
2) Athletic Eligibility form
3) Parent Consent Form
4) Code of Conduct Form
Please
do not wait until the last minute! Mary Sue has 11 Spring
sports teams to handle this year so lets make her job as easy
as possible.
Thank
you for your prompt attention to this important matter.

Bainbridge
Boys’ Lacrosse adheres to a strict dress code on game
days. High school lacrosse players are expected to wear dress
pants (not game shorts), dress shirts and ties to school on
every game day (home and away) for their particular team. This
rule applies to all three of our high school lacrosse teams.

Transportation
Whenever
possible, Bainbridge Boys Lacrosse provides transportation for
high school players to away games. However, due to high volume
and limited capacity, the school district is not always able
to rent one of their buses to our club. On those occasions,
we must rely on the assistance of parents in transporting players
to away games. This has been common practice for all teams over
the years. While new players and families may not be aware of
our policy, please note that at no time should any player be
transporting himself or other players to away games regardless
of the player's age.
The
Bainbridge Boys Lacrosse Club Policy is:
1.
No player may self-transport or transport another player to
or from an off-Island GAME. Self-transport and the transport
of others to and from an on-Island game or practice is permitted.
2.
Parents or chaperones who provide transport (for lacrosse players
of any age) should have signed a Volunteer Driver Form prior
to providing the transportation to away games.
This
policy is consistent with the school district's policy, P2151
"Interscholastic Activities Programs," which states
that "students, including adult-aged, may not self-transport."
The school district also prohibits any volunteer drivers under
the age of 21 years for trip activities. We, therefore, must
rely on the support of our parents when carpool drivers are
needed.
Parents
of lacrosse players should have received or will soon be receiving
a volunteer driver form from your team parent. We ask that you
complete this form and return it to the team parent so that
we have the appropriate documentation on file consistent with
school district policy for volunteer drivers.
Parents
of high school players can also see their team parent about
the possibility of getting reduced-cost ferry passes if you
are transporting several players to an away game. These passes
need to be arranged in advance of games through your team parent.
